Malaria tells the story of Fabiano, a young Mercenary who is hired to kill Death.This was made by Edson Oda, a writer/director/copywriter, who was born in São Paulo, Brazil, but now lives in Los Angeles. He is currently completing an MFA in Film and TV Production at USC.
Malaria combines elements of Origami, Kirigami, Time lapse, nankin illustration, Comic Books and Western Cinema.

Edson Oda has given us a live comic. I loved it when he wiped the cartoon sweat and I shuddered when he showed us the blood. At the end I thought I'd watched people in a movie and had to remind myself it was all hands moving drawings and great voiceovers.
