I believe song lyrics are difficult to mishear unless they are miswritten to begin with. It can be clumsy like stress on the wrong syllable or words drowned out by music or the singer lisping, but more often the listener straining to understand is simply not expecting the lyrics. They don't make sense. Sometimes it's poetic but frequently it's lazy writing.

Having said that I thought the whole team extremely musical and well rehearsed and I was thrilled when they came up with some of my own misheard lyrics. Started laughing with the marigolds and lost it with 'dick in a glove'.
