"It's About Time"

Richard Curtis
Richard Curtis is the writer of TV shows such as Not the Nine O'Clock News, Blackadder, Mr Bean, and The Vicar of Dibley. His movies include Four Weddings and a Funeral; Notting Hill; Bridget Jones's Diary, Love Actually, The Boat That Rocked, and War Horse.

About Time is his latest, and possibly the last ever film to be both written and directed by Richard Curtis. The film stars Bill Nighy, Domhnall Gleeson, Lindsay Duncan, Rachel McAdams, and Tom Hollander.
After a disappointing New Year's Eve party, Tim (Domhnall Gleeson) learns from his father (Bill Nighy) that the men in his family have the ability to travel through time. He can't change major history, but he can relive small moments of his own life, in the hope of getting them right.

This is a romantic comedy, so Cornwall native Tim relocates to London to study law, and find a girlfriend. He tries to use his gift to win over Mary, but the course of true love isn't smooth. An unfortunate twist in time means that he never met Mary at all...

While time-travel might help him find true love, Tim discovers that it won't keep him from the everyday problems of life. He has to learn that making the most of love and life means giving up the past and living for today.
Much of the film is set in Cornwall
The film was released in the UK last August. It will have its Australian premiere on 17 October, followed by an official American release on 1 November. Here is the international trailer.
