'Die Hard' turns 25

The first Die Hard movie I saw was #3, Die Hard With a Vengeance. I thought all that running-around-town-looking-for-clues stuff owed a bit to Dirty Harry (1971), but I liked it anyway. So I tracked down the original Die Hard (1988). What a great movie!

“Come out to the coast, we’ll get together, have a few laughs..."

They lost me with #4, and I'll probably never see #5, but wasn't the original a great picture! And now it's twenty-five years old.

To celebrate, 20th Century Fox erected a permanent mural on the side of Soundstage 8 on the Fox lot in Century City.
