David Kelley: How to build your creative confidence

TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers are invited to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes.

Do you divide people into "creative" versus "practical" people? David M. Kelley suggests, creativity is not the domain of only a chosen few. Telling stories from his legendary design career and his own life, he offers ways to build the confidence to create.

This talk is particularly important in the US where fear of judgment is so strong, as criticism is part of the pedagogical construct.

I am impressed with the results of guided mastery. I believe this is a psychologist stepping in to give the confidence parents should have given their children. It is easy to tell children they can do anything and be anything they want, but not easy to guide and help them celebrate small successes.

Thanks for another good TED talk, Henry.
